Man oh man it is HOT in England today. As
wish_girl said... why oh WHY do the British not believe in AC? (Or rather, air con, as it is known round these parts.) I really shouldn't complain though... it's a million times better than the Charleston weather. At least it's not so humid here. (I should really stop complaining... it's probably gonna be HELL if I end up living in Japan... it will be like Charleston, only with no AC...)
Also, the old double X chromosome kicked in today, making me buy all sorts of stuff I don't really need, simply because it was on sale. Why am I so addicted to buying cute panties??? If they're like, £1 apiece, I simply cannot turn them down. I guess it's okay, because I do go thru them fast... I can't STAND to wear sweaty underwear, so I end up changing them like 3 times a day. Yeah yeah, I know, TMI. Sorry. ;) Just trying to justify my little spending spree. Also, the jewelry at Topshop (gotta love the Brits for having Topshop!) was on sale for a pound apiece, and we all know T-R*k can't get enough earrings. I got some sunglasses too, which I actually needed, because I didn't have any. :P Now I'll have to be careful tomorrow and try not to spend much in London. Which is okay because I'm going to some free museums and then just out to a movie at night, and should have enough for lunch and a few drinks.
I reeeeeally have to start saving up for Germany. At least I'll have a little more when it's converted to Euros. I'm gonna buy some of those crazy ass Christmas ornaments they make there. I have one from Germany that I got in the States, of a butcher with a severed pig's head on a platter. HA HA HA. Nothing says happy birthday Jesus like a severed pig's head! So that will be cool. Gotta get myself a Bavarian beer stein too, of course. ;) Man, it's gonna be great to be there for Christmas. It's already gorgeous there, it'll be nice to see it all dolled up for Christmas, with snow everywhere. :D
Mark had his school play last night. He was Little John in Robin Hood. Picture 30 English schoolchildren prancing around onstage and singing in their cute little accents. Adorable. Whenever he has some friends over, I'm always tempted to say, "Hey guys, I'll give you 50p apiece if you'll all sing, "We don't need no education..." :P Cause yeah, I'm a dork.
I talked to my granny on the phone the other day... I said, "Hey Granny, whatcha doin?" and she goes, "Standing in the kitchen nekkid." Ha ha ha... ahh, some things never change. ;) And then my mom told me that she's stopped smoking, both cigs and pot. (My mom, not my Granny, ha ha.) WOW. THAT makes me reeeeally happy. More the cigs than the pot. They're both bad for you, but she went thru like two packs a day, and didn't really smoke all that much pot anymore. So I hope she sticks with it. She also sent me a little McDonalds toy of Johnny Depp from Pirates... it's the CUTEST thing ever. Then today Gitte came into the kitchen and said, "did you see my new magnet?" None other than Captain Jack Sparrow... mmmmmm. Now I can gaze upon his beauty whenever I open the fridge. :D
Okay, end of stream of concsiousness. Heh. Cheers.

Date: 2006-07-21 05:17 pm (UTC)Probably for the same reason the Dutch have none; the weather is not supposed to be like this in this part of the world!!! :(
Lucky you for having that many undies. I tend to only buy new ones once the older ones are really falling to pieces....

Date: 2006-07-21 11:10 pm (UTC)I love shopping trips like that. Where you buy a bunch of cheap stuff. Happy days. I need one. There are about 11,000 books and stuff I wanna buy. ^_^
I need fluff, dammit! Something silly and useless to make me smile.
BTW, have you seen the new Pirates yet? It's awesome!!!
