Seat-lickers and men in eyeliner

Thank god it cooled off some today. I haven't been sweaty ALL DAY! That is a big deal for me. A big happy deal. Yesterday I was in London, and it wasn't all that hot, but it was rainy, so it was HUMID like a mofo. It was almost like being in Charleston. Sucky. I'm so glad the Tate Britain has AC. I stayed in there forever just to cool off.

They weren't my favorites in the place, but it was weird seeing them in real life, because I think every girl at C of C had a poster of one or the other up in their dorms. Heh.

I was meeting Mr. T there. (Ha ha, I should really use his real name, but I quite like the idea of being associated with "Mr. T.") ;) We planned to meet at 4, and I asked, "Should I just meet you outside?" and he goes, "Nah, I'll just come find you, that'll be more fun." I thought that was cute. So we played hide and seek for a while til he found me. :P We were sitting on this bench and I was sitting indian-style (ha ha, indian-style, how un-PC is that term?) and this lady comes up and says, "I'm sorry my love," (they call everyone 'my love' here,) "but can I ask you to take your feet off the seat? It's because people often have young children in here, and they like to lick the seat." No problem, I didn't mind, but what? Who lets their kids lick random benches? What kid does that anyway? I know little babies bite on everything, but is there really such a rash of child-sized seat-lickers in the Tate? Dunno, just thought it was odd. ;)

So then we went to see Pirates, which was pretty good for what it was, and Johnny of course was pure sex in eyeliner. ;) I tried explaining the appeal of men in eyeliner to my somewhat bewildered date, but I don't think he gets it. Heh. Later we had some nachos and corona which was cool. I hadn't had nachos since leaving Charleston. Heh heh hehmmmhehmmmheh heh... nachos! Nachos! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! heh heh hehheh... Nachos are cool... hehmmh heh heh...

Then I came home and had fucked up dreams about bad things happening to my Granny, and then about me having some weird sore spot on my stomach... why do I keep dreaming about me or others being ill? Seriously, it's been going on for a while now. Analysis, anyone?

I have one and a half more days of peace until the kids are out of school for the summer. :P Then it'll be Mark coming in and out and in and out all day, Sophie constantly messing up the kitchen, and hordes of kids who don't live here coming over to play with Mark, but really just wanting to get in the pool. And no more time to sunbathe undisturbed in my underwear. Ha ha.

1) When I have access to Dukes Mayonnaise (I'm pretty sure its only sold in the States, and in the south,) I literally eat it with a spoon. I think I could probably eat an entire jar in one sitting. I know it's the most unhealthy food ever, and that eating it like that disgusts most people, (and is probably why I was 2 sizes bigger in the States,) but it's just so... damn... GOOD! But I only like Dukes. Because it's very tart. Other mayonnaises are way too sweet and just not worth my time.

2) I think popcorn should be phased out of movie theaters. Either that, or only sold to people who can chew with their mouth closed. In fact, I think food should only be given to those who know how to eat properly... chewing with the mouth CLOSED, slowly, with no smacking or slurping. The noises people make when eating really gross me out. I've been known to leave the room before just because someone was eating noisily. Oh and for the record, when you're eating something crunchy, PLEASE, wait until you've CLOSED YOUR MOUTH to bite down on it! Gaaaaahhhh!

3) I can't dive into a pool or do a cartwheel, because I don't like putting my head below my feet unless I'm in water or lying down.

4) I have a HUGE crush on Pete from the UK Big Brother. ;) I mean, really, look how adorable and SEXY he is!

6) One of my many pet peeves is when people can't pronounce the word "library." There are two R's in there... count 'em. And for the love of Mike, PRONOUNCE them!!!!!!!
