I think the ONLY movie to ever truly do justice to the book was The Green Mile. Shawshank was pretty good, but The Green Mile just kills it. (Aside from Tom Hanks' terrible accent...) They didn't leave anything out, and they didn't change anything. I'd rather have a movie be three hours long, and tell the whole story correctly, than be cut to bits and changed around.

I also hate when they cast actors I don't like for characters that I do... Rat-faced, skeletal Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Bennett??? Who the hell okayed that???

Did anyone see The Time Traveler's Wife??? I ADORE that book, but haven't seen the movie... thoughts? Seems like it might have been difficult to translate into film.

Just for shits and giggles, this is a list of all the books I've read. It is a work in progress. In the words of Derek Zoolander, "It's not nearly ready." I haven't even come close to getting down all the ones I've already read.

* means I'm currently reading it for the first time.

(*T*) means it's a textbook, and I only count textbooks if I actually read the whole thing.
